Press Release
IBM Software Services for Lotus to Resell FaceTime Communications Security and Compliance Solutions
LOTUSPHERE, ORLANDO, FL. - January 18, 2010 - (Booth 323) FaceTime Communications (www.facetime.com),
a leading provider of solutions enabling the safe use of Web 2.0 and Unified Communications in the enterprise,
today announced the signing of a new reseller relationship with IBM Software Services for Lotus (ISSL).
FaceTime's security and compliance solutions can now be resold with IBM Lotus Sametime through ISSL.
ISSL is now able to resell FaceTime's Unified Security Gateway (USG) and IMAuditor to augment compliance
and security for IBM Lotus Sametime unified communications and collaboration (UC2) solutions. The offerings
from FaceTime provide in-demand capabilities such as guaranteed message logging and easy retrieval of
stored chat/messages, scanning of file transfers to protect intellectual property, security to prevent
malware over all real-time channels, comprehensive reporting, and compliance workflow.
"FaceTime has been recognized as the leader in UC security and compliance by IDC for the past five years",
said Kailash Ambwani, CEO of FaceTime Communications. "With this agreement, IBM Lotus customers can use
ISSL's world-class professional services team to deliver the same compliance and security platform trusted
by 10 of the top 10 US banks and the leading companies in energy, healthcare, manufacturing and technology."
FaceTime's security and compliance technology also integrates with IBM's Enterprise Content Management
(ECM) products to support data archiving and e-discovery, which are essential for compliance with regulations
from a wide range of government agencies including the
Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the
Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability
Act (HIPAA) and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), among others. Customers can also save
both money and worry, since FaceTime's products will filter out malware and viruses, help companies
avoid fines for non-compliance and eliminate the cost of e-discovery to produce electronic communications
pertaining to federal regulations. FaceTime's TrueComplianceâ„¢ solution meets the strictest requirements
for record-keeping and tamper-proof auditing and FaceTime's eDiscovery interface and reporting engine
makes it easy to search, discover and review electronic communications.
FaceTime's USG is the first secure Web gateway to combine content monitoring, management and logging
of social networking, instant messaging and Unified Communications, with URL filtering, malware and
Web antivirus protection. USG has the ability to enforce corporate communications policies so that employees
only use approved Unified Communications, IM and Web 2.0 channels. USG also includes a comprehensive
application signature database of more than 4,000 applications of concern to IT managers. Created by
FaceTime's Security Lab, the database is the most extensive available and is continually maintained
and updated by FaceTime's security research team, the leading research team dedicated to the collection,
analysis, associated threats and management of real-time and Web 2.0 applications.
FaceTime's IMAuditor provides granular security, key compliance features and policy control for Unified
Communications platforms such as Lotus Sametime, alongside publicly available instant messaging tools,
web conferencing and industry focused IM communities like Reuters and Bloomberg. For more information
