Press Release
FaceTime Stimulus Package Kick Starts Channel Web Security Sales
BELMONT, Calif - February 18, 2009 - FaceTime Communications, the leading
provider of solutions to secure and manage Web and unified communications in
the enterprise, today announced a new channel program to boost Web security
sales, offering its FaceTime Stimulus Package
to help kick start channel sales with its Unified Security Gateway Web security
appliance, as well as contribute to the local retail economy by offering spiff
rewards to channel sales representatives.
FaceTime's Channel Stimulus Package program offers
-
Sustainable margins
-
Co-funded marketing
-
Free evaluation equipment
-
Leads, deal registration and opportunity support
FaceTime's Unified Security
Gateway (USG) is a secure
Web gateway appliance purpose-built for the new Internet. USG 2.0
provides a single point of control for managing Web access, preventing malware,
controlling Web 2.0 applications and managing information leakage in corporate
networks. Unique to this new version, IT managers can detect and control 1,400
Web 2.0 and real-time applications with the same granular policies they have
come to expect from dedicated URL filtering solutions.
"FaceTime recognizes that in these tough economic times, the channel can easily
be squeezed out by vendors looking to maximize their profits, and by the end
user looking to maximize their budget" said Sarah Carter of the Channels team
for FaceTime Communications. "With the FaceTime Stimulus Package, combined with
our Forget the Fees program, we're providing a great incentive to IT
departments to streamline their budgets, as well as empowering the channel to
create opportunities that we'll reward them for. This program provides
tremendous value by offering malware prevention and application control in
addition to URL filtering, for less than the cost of URL filtering alone."
The FaceTime Stimulus Package is built around FaceTime's current Forget the
Fees program to eliminate initial URL filtering fees on new purchases of its
Unified Security Gateway (USG) appliance. With this program, a 1,000-seat
organization can save up to $35,000 over a two year contract period based on
typical industry pricing, while deploying a more complete secure Web gateway
solution that not only monitors Web browsing traffic but also controls Web 2.0
applications, blocks malware at the gateway and enables the safe and productive
use of real time use of the Internet – from social networks to instant
messaging.
The Forget the Fees program is available on new contracts
signed before April 30, 2009. Channel Partners should contact FaceTime at
888-349-FACE or register for the new Forget the Fees Channel Program.
